Gathering to Celebrate DE’s Company Dancers!
Our dancers and families truly love being together! When the curtain closes on another year of dance, many of us are sad to be taking a break. We always wish there was more time to celebrate. This year was different! A week after our 32nd annual recital our Dance Expressions Company Moms hosted the sweetest of banquets for our company dancers and their families. On Sunday June 25th, 2023 our DE families met for our first ever Dance Expressions Company Banquet.
Renditions Golf and Country Club was spruced up in our signature DE teal. We feasted on a scrumptious brunch, watched a slide show of sweet moments shared at the recital, and mingled with all our DE Company friends. Company dancers awarded each other with sweet superlative awards and had a chance to encourage our senior company dancers before they begin their next chapters. They took plenty of pictures with their dance besties, and we all topped off the celebration with delicious cake made by our very own DE mom and professional cake baker, Mrs. Ana Bolden. Ms. Pam presented each company member with their company certificates, and shared how very proud she was of each of them, and how grateful she is for the time and commitment our dancers and their families dedicate not only to their dance training but also to each other as a community.
Our performing company has grown since its beginnings but, it has always been designed to provide passionate and highly committed dancers with more performing and training opportunities. As you have seen here on the blog, our company dancers perform in community events, benefit concerts, and competitions. Company dancers enhance their training by attending several workshops each year with professional dancers and master teachers. As all our students grow in their dance training and demonstrate mastery in their technique, they are either invited to participate, or given the opportunity to audition for our performing company. Company members maintain a rigorous schedule of dance classes in addition to company rehearsals. All of these experiences not only add to their training and build their character but also create memories to last a lifetime.
It is truly an honor to be part of the Dance Expressions Dance Company and something well worth celebrating! Everyone left the banquet, with parting favors, pictures, and special treats. Thanks, Mrs. Wallace, for pampering the moms! And thanks most of all, to our Head DE Company Moms, Mrs. Shanon Sadaka and Mrs. Levonia Parker for all the time and effort you put in to making our first ever DE Company Banquet such a success. We look forward to continuing this wonderful tradition!
If your dancer is interested in being part of Dance Expressions’ Company, be on the lookout for auditions to be held over the summer.
