Ballet / Variations / Modern Workshop
Our ballet day will be a special day of workshop classes for our dancers in honor and memory of Miss Maria Vitery. For those of you who are new to the studio, Miss Maria was a wonderful teacher, mentor and dancer. Maria passed away from a rare blood disorder, TTP, on January 28th 2019. Maria was also a scientist at Johns Hopkins, earning her PHD and would encourage our dancers to be their best academically while working hard in ballet classes. Maria’s bio remains on our website for anyone interested in learning more about her.
We will be announcing our 2023 recipient of the Maria Vitery Scholarship award which is a full scholarship toward a Cecchetti Ballet Conference. We hope that this will be a special time for our dancers and teachers while we celebrate and remember Maria’s life.
Current DE dancers are offered a discounted rate for the workshop.
